Whitney Houston Having Court-Ordered Garage Sale

The cash-strapped Grammy-winner Whitney Houston, who famously sang "I Have Nothing" has been forced into a court-ordered garage sale of personal belongings, from designer dresses, shoes, awards, music equipment, and even her undies after she failed to pay to keep them in storage.

This is just the latest embarrassment for 43-year-old Whitney, who has been in rehab to battle drug addiction and who recently filed for divorce from Bobby Brown after 14 years of marriage.

Last November she almost lost her spectacular 7 million dollar, 10-acre estate in New Jersey because she owed tens of thousands of dollars in back taxes.

Now Jersey-based storage company Speed Of Sound has the court's permission to put Whitney's old stage gear up for auction after her company, Nippy Inc, stopped paying the bills in 2005.

Some of Brown's possessions appear to be among the items up for sale, including "16 assorted Bobby Brown music awards".

The star has entered drug rehab twice. The National Enquirer recently published photographs purporting to show drug gear in her squalid bathroom.

The auction house owner, expects to raise millions of dollars. Houston will keep any money left over when the storage bill is paid.

Her publicist claims that it will be good riddance to bad rubbish, saying the auction consists of "old equipment from past tours that she doesn't need any more".
