"Hit Me One More Time" Four New Tracks From Britney Spears

Britney Spears' comeback has sprung a leak once again with another four tracks from her new album finding their way to the internet.

This brings the total number of Britney tracks that are circulating on the web up to seven, just two months before the official release of her comeback album on November 13.

Listeners can now enjoy 'Your…', 'Been A While', 'Everybody' and 'Got Me High' as well as the earlier tracks 'Gimme More', 'Cold As Fire' and 'Baby Boy' just by logging on to the net.

According to the Sun, 'Everybody' is built around a large sample of Eurythmics' hit eighties track 'Sweet Dreams'.

The song features a dance floor friendly chorus that goes: "Everybody come on get to jumping/ Everybody move in next to something/ Everybody feel the temperature rising while my legs keep grinding."

'Your…', on the other hand, has a lot in common with Madonna's 'Confessions Of A Dancefloor' album.

The third song, 'Been A While', reportedly finds inspiration from Usher's chart-conquering 'Yeah'.

Luciano Pavarotti Dies At Age 71

La Scala opera house fell silent Thursday and the two remaining members of the Three Tenors led a chorus of tributes by the giants of opera, presidents and rock stars after the death of Luciano Pavarotti.

A minute's silence was held at the Milan opera house where Pavarotti, who died early Thursday at the age of 71, performed 140 times in a career that spanned four decades.

His was "one of the most beautiful and most moving voices of all time," said La Scala artistic director Stephane Lissner.

Pavarotti had brought opera to the masses through appearances with rock stars and the supergroup he formed with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras, The Three Tenors.

"I always admired the God-given glory of his voice -- that unmistakable special timbre from the bottom up to the very top of the tenor range," said Domingo.

Carreras added: "The best memories are the ones in intimacy - We have to remember him as the great artist he was, a man with such a wonderful charismatic personality."

World leaders and the rock stars that Pavarotti rivalled for public attention also paid tribute.

US President George W. Bush hailed the 71-year-old as "one of the most accomplished and acclaimed opera singers of all time."

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said: "His artistic qualities as well as his warmth and charisma seduced the entire world."

All of Italy seemed plunged into mourning and Prime Minister Romano Prodi said: "A very great voice of the musical world and of Italy has disappeared."

Police set up a special security cordon around his villa just outside Modena where he died early Thursday after a long battle with cancer.

"Ciao Luciano, with the black and white heart," the club, which plays in a black and white strip, wrote on its official website.

The world of pop also remembered Pavarotti, reflecting his crossover appeal which he nurtured by performing with the likes of Sting, the Spice Girls and U2.

"Some can sing opera, Luciano Pavarotti was an opera," said U2 frontman Bono.

"His opera was a great mash of joy and sadness; surreal and earthy at the same time; a great volcano of a man who sang fire but spilled over with a love of life in all its complexity."

Police frontman Sting, who also sang with Pavarotti, added: "We lost a great friend, a great voice and the world is a smaller place without the big man".

The world of opera must now find a new superstar after Pavarotti's death.

Australian soprano Dame Joan Sutherland, who formed a renowned three decade long stage partnership with Pavarotti said that the so-called "King of the High Cs" ranked among opera's all-time greats.

In Austria, the Vienna State Opera and Salzburg Festival Hall raised black flags to mark Pavarotti's passing.

New York's Metropolitan Opera, where Pavarotti performed nearly 400 times, hailed him as grand opera's "greatest symbol."

London's Royal Opera House described Pavarotti as "one of those rare artists who affected the lives of people across the globe in all walks of life."

Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa on Thursday dedicated a performance to the late Luciano Pavarotti, saying the Italian tenor had a voice so distinctive he could recognise it anywhere.

Ozawa, music director of the Vienna State Opera, led his Saito Kinen Orchestra at his summer mountain retreat in Matsumoto in a Ravel pavane and a world premiere by French composer Henri Dutilleux.

"I am shocked and very sad," the conductor said in a statement.

Spanish diva Montserrat Caballe recalled a man of "immense goodness" who had helped her through her own health crisis in 1985.

"He was simply a fantastic person, whom I loved a lot and admired even more," a tearful Caballe told Spain's Cadena Ser radio.

George Michael May Join Paris Hilton's Status As Inmate

George Michael is due to be sentenced later for driving while stoned.

Magistrates heard the 43-year-old had a cocktail of drugs in his system including GHB and cannabis after he was found slumped at the wheel of his Mercedes in north London last October.

The star admitted driving while unfit, claiming it was due to tiredness and prescribed drugs.

At an earlier hearing he told the court: "I did something very stupid and I am very ashamed since doing it.

He added: I'm not used to defending myself in a position where I am ashamed of something. I was not in my normal physical state and I'm perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago."

His court appearance comes a day before he kicks off his European tour at the new Wembley stadium.

Rapper "The Game" Pleads Innocent To Brandishing Gun

US west coast gangsta rapper "The Game" pleaded not guilty Thursday in a Los Angeles court to felony charges that he threatened a man with a gun at a pickup basketball game.

"The Game," aka Jayceon Terrell Taylor, 27, is charged with three counts in the February incident in which he allegedly hit a player on the opposing team, then went to his Cadillac and got a gun and threatened to shoot the man.

One of the charges relates to possessing the gun in a school zone, and another to exhibiting the gun in the presence of a police officer.

He could get five years in prison if convicted on all the charges.

Taylor, nominated for two Grammys for his hit 2005 CD "The Documentary," is a star of gangsta rap, which glorifies gang culture and violence.

He is free on 50,000 dollars bail and scheduled to appear in court on June 27.

Richie Sambora Enters Treatment Facility

Richie Sambora, lead guitarist for the rock band Bon Jovi, has entered a treatment facility, a spokesman for the group said today (Thursday).

Sambora, 47, checked into the Los Angeles facility on Wednesday. No other details on the treatment he was seeking were disclosed.

In recent months, Sambora has experienced personal hardships including a breakup with girlfriend Denise Richards, the finalization of his divorce from ex-wife Heather Locklear and the death of his father.

"Richie Sambora has entered an undisclosed treatment facility in Los Angeles. He asks that you respect his and his family's privacy at this time," said the spokesman.

New Jersey band Bon Jovi shot to stardom in the 1980s with songs like "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer" that topped record charts.

The group has a new CD, "Lost Highway," scheduled to hit record stores on June 19, and is set to begin a tour on June 24 in London.

B-52s Soon To Release New CD After 15 Years Of Silence

Fifteen years after their last album of new material, The B-52's are wrapping up work on their next one.

The quirky dance-pop outfit, which burst onto the new wave scene in 1979 with songs like "Rock Lobster" and cracked the pop charts in the late '80s with the party classics "Love Shack" and "Roam," returned to their hometown of Athens, Ga. to finish recording the as-yet unnamed record.

"We all lived down there for two months and just got back in the swing of things," singer Fred Schneider said from his home on Long Island, N.Y.

He said the group, which has been performing together since 1998 after taking an extended break, always had intentions of recording again. But with members living in New York, Georgia and Florida, it was tricky to get together and write new material.

"After the `Cosmic Thing' and `Good Stuff' tours (in 1989 and 1992), we were a little burned out," he said. "We just had our ins and outs and things going on. It took a while for things to fall back into place."

Schneider said the 11 new tracks will maintain the B-52's dance party vibe but will showcase some new directions for a band that, along with R.E.M., helped put Athens on the map as a hotbed of alternative music.

"There's more electronica on it," he said. "It's up-tempo and a bit sexed-up. It's sexier than ever."

Schneider said post-production work on the album is expected to begin soon, with plans to release it early next year. The band owns the master recordings of the album and is now shopping for a record label to release it, Schneider said.

Sheryl Crow Becomes A Mom Via Adoption

Just in time for Mother's Day, Sheryl Crow the singer-guitarist has adopted a baby boy.

"I am so excited to share with you guys that I've adopted a little boy. He was born two weeks ago," Crow announced on her Web site Friday.

She told fans the boy's name "is Wyatt (after my dad) Steven (after my little brother and Scooter) and we are enjoying some very private family time."

This is the first child for Crow, 45, who underwent breast cancer surgery in February 2006.

That same month, she and cycling champion Lance Armstrong announced that they had broken up their engagement. It would have been her first marriage and the second for Armstrong. The pair met in October 2003 and began dating shortly after.

Did Crow bring Lance Armstrong to divorce his first wife and mother of his children?

A nine-time Grammy winner, Crow is best known for the hits "Soak Up the Sun" and "All I Want to Do."

Phil Spector's Trial Two Women Also Held At Gun Point

Phil Spector's trial has taken another turn after two more women claimed the legendary producer pulled a gun on them and held one hostage.

A Los Angeles court heard that Spector, who is charged with murdering actress Lana Clarkson in Los Angeles in 2003, tried to prevent one of the women, Melissa Grosvenor, from leaving his home in 1992.

Grosvenor said she met Spector in New York in 1991 when she was a waitress and had a platonic dating relationship with him for a year and a half.

Ms Grosvenor alleges that she had been on a dinner date with Spector a year later and when she tried to leave, the producer left the room and returned brandishing a handgun.

She told the court: "He walked right up to me and put the gun right up to my face and said: 'If you try to leave, I'm going to kill you'. I was shocked, I just started crying."

Ms Grosvenor later said that she fell asleep in a chair in the living room and the next morning she flew back to New York.

Another woman, Stephanie Jennings, also told the court, that Mr Spector had held her hostage with a gun in a hotel room in 1995.

Ms Jennings alleged that he slapped or pushed her before pulling out a gun.

Although she admitted that she did not believe Spector meant to kill her, she feared for her life because he could have shot her accidentally.

These claims by the two women show a dark side held in the mind of Phil Spector.

Music Producer Phil Spector Murder Trial Begins

Opening statements are due to begin in the trial of pioneering music producer Phil Spector, who is accused of murder.

Prosecutors will open the case and are expected to argue that Mr Spector, 67, shot actress Lana Clarkson in the mouth as she tried to leave his home in 2003.

Defence lawyers argue Ms Clarkson put the gun in her mouth and shot herself.

A jury of nine men and three women was sworn in last week for the case in Los Angeles, which will be televised and is expected to last up to three months.

The defence team is expected to argue that 40-year-old Ms Clarkson was depressed at the time of her death.

Both sides say forensic evidence and the autopsy support their versions of events.

Among those reported to be preparing to act as character witnesses for Phil Spector is John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono.

Mr Spector allegedly once fired a gun over Lennon's head during a recording session with the Beatles.

It is not clear whether Mr Spector, who has shunned the public eye for decades, will testify at the trial.

B-movie actress Ms Clarkson, who starred in films such as Amazon Women On the Moon and Barbarian Queen, was found at Mr Spector's Los Angeles mansion in February 2003 with a fatal gunshot wound to her face.

Police say the producer told the first officers on the scene that he had killed Ms Clarkson by accident.

Later, he told Esquire magazine that she died in a bizarre act of suicide after "kissing" the gun.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Mr Spector could be sentenced to life in prison.

Mr Spector is famed for his influential music production technique, known as the Wall of Sound, which featured soaring orchestration and multi-layered vocals.

It became a trademark of some of the most acclaimed pop hits of the 1960s, such as The Crystals' Da Doo Ron Ron and the Ronettes' Be My Baby.

Mr Spector won two Grammy awards for his work and is featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum in Ohio.

Lopez, Anthony Will Sue National Enquirer

Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony, are suing the National Enquirer in European courts over the tabloid's claims they were linked to a drug scandal, their Belfast lawyer said Monday.

Represented by Paul Tweed, who specializes in bringing U.S.-based celebrities libel cases to British and Irish courts, Lopez, 38, and singer Anthony, 37, were seeking "a six-figure settlement" from the Enquirer, based in Boca Raton, Fla., and its parent company, American Media Inc.

The lawsuit would be filed Tuesday in a Belfast court, and in subsequent days in courts in Dublin, London and Paris.

The lawsuit also seeks an apology and retraction for an article that appeared in different versions of the Enquirer's U.S. and international editions.

The version published March 12 in British and Irish editions alleged the couple were "caught up in a heroin scanda,l" and reprinted a 2004 picture of Anthony standing beside photographer Michael Star, who is facing charges of heroin possession and child pornography in the U.S.

The article quoted an alleged friend of Star as saying Star and Anthony were friends.

Tweed told the AP this was untrue and that Anthony didn't know Star even as an acquaintance. Anthony posed for the 2004 photograph, Tweed said, in keeping with his usual hospitality toward backstage concert fans.

There has been a growing trend in international libel suits brought by U.S. based celebrities in European courts, where libel laws favor the celebrity, not the publication.

Snoop Dogg No-Contest Plea, No Jail Time

Rapper Snoop Dogg made a surprise no-contest plea to gun and drug charges today and was given a three-year suspended sentence that will spare him jail time.

The 35-year-old rap star, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was also sentenced to five years of formal probation and ordered to perform 800 hours of community service by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge.

Broadus was expected in court for an arraignment on charges of sale or transportation of marijuana and possession of a gun by a convicted felon, which could have landed him behind bars for up to four years if convicted at a trial.

He instead entered the no contest plea, apparently as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

Broadus was arrested on October 25 last year after police at Burbank Airport, near Los Angeles, stopped him for leaving his car too long in a passenger loading area and found a gun and marijuana in his car.

Fire Destroys Johnny Cash's Home

The Tennessee home of the late country legend Johnny Cash has been destroyed by fire during renovations for the property's new owner, The Bee Gees' Barry Gibb.

Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, lived in the three-story wooden house in Hendersonville, Tennessee from 1968 until they died within months of each other in 2003.

The local newspaper, The Hendersonville Star News, quoted a fire official as saying that the fire probably started when fumes from a wood preservative being used in the renovations were ignited by a spark.

The house featured in the famous video for Cash's version of the Nine Inch Nails song 'Hurt'.

Gibb bought the house in early 2006 and The Hendersonville Star News said the renovations were in the final stages; the newspaper quoted a friend of Gibbs' as saying that the singer hoped to move in during the summer.

At the time of purchase, Gibb described buying the house as an honor and spoke of his determination to preserve it in honor of its late owners.

Maybe he used to much wood preservative and not enough honor.

Britney Spears walked out of a rehabilitation clinic just 24 hours after she checked in.

Fast forward Britney entering Promises for the second time, on Thursday, Spears joined a long list of other celebrities who have trekked to the lush Malibu facility to overcome addictions.

Famed for treating stars such as Mel Gibson, Robert Downey Jr. and Charlie Sheen.

The retreat boasts "uncommon luxury" and "the finest rehab programme in the world".

Treatment doesn't come cheap. A 30-day stay is $48,000.

If the perks alone aren't enough to keep her at Promises, Spears need only reflect on the possibility she could lose custody of her two young children to estranged husband Kevin Federline if she doesn't complete the program.

Federline showed up to Promises treatment centre in Malibu on Friday, according to reports. He stayed for about half an hour on what was Britney's second day in the rehab facility.

Last week Spears attempted to attend rehabilitation at Eric Clapton Crossroads clinic in Antigua, but again only stayed for a day.

Third times always a charm.

Britney Spears is "on the verge of a nervous breakdown" goes on the town for a body altering experience in front of waiting paparazzi photographers, a sure cry for help.

The singer and mother of two stunned fans and paparazzi photographers when she walked into a hairdressing salon in Los Angeles and asked a stylist to cut all her hair off.

When the hairdresser refused, Spears grabbed some clippers, and can be seen in snaps shearing herself bald.

The salon claims to have the only authentic Britney locks, and says it will donate some of the proceeds of the eBay sale to charity.

The New York Daily News says the salon where the star chopped off all her hair is also flogging leftover drink and a lighter left behind by the singer.

The 25-year-old was then followed as she drove to a tattoo parlour and had two images etched, a pair of bright red lips on her wrist and a black, white and pink cross on her lower hip.

Tattooist Emily Wynne-Hughes, who was in the shop, now fears the drastic new look is a stark warning of Spears' emotional instability.

She says: "After (Britney) left, we said to each other: 'We just saw a huge celebrity on the verge of a nervous breakdown.'

"She seemed really distraught and disturbed. She was very scatterbrained. It was crazy, very surreal. She's definitely crying out."

80's Bands "The Year Of Rock Reunions" Tour

Reunited rock trio The Police announced they would launch a world tour in May, more than 20 years after frontman Sting angered his bandmates by leaving for a solo career.

The group gave fans a taste of what's to come on Sunday night, when they performed their breakthrough hit "Roxanne" at the opening of the Grammy Awards ceremony.

Sting, 55, guitarist Andy Summers, 64, and drummer Stewart Copeland, 54, will kick off the tour on May 28 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

So far dates have been set for North America only; the band will play Europe in the autumn, and shows in Mexico, South America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are also anticipated.

This year is shaping up as the year of rock reunions. Phil Collins has returned to British art-rock combo Genesis for a monthlong summer tour of Europe, while singer David Lee Roth is back with rock band Van Halen after a two-decade estrangement.

Additionally, the Australian-New Zealand band Crowded House plans to end a 10-year hiatus once a replacement is found for late drummer Paul Hester.

James Brown's 4th Wife Collects Belongings

Tomi Rae Hynie who claims to be James Brown's fourth wife returned to the home she shared with the singer, after a judge ruled Friday that she could retrieve her belongings.

Hynie said she has been locked out of the Beech Island home since Brown died Christmas Day at age 73. She went into the home Friday afternoon with the estate's trustees and three of Brown's six adult children and left with a few personal items, including a dress and other clothing, said Buddy Dallas, a trustee and attorney for the singer.

Hynie said she or her attorney will come back later for larger items, like furniture.

Judge Doyet Early said Hynie also could take pictures and videotape of the inside of the house if she wanted. If there is any dispute between Hynie and trustees about whether something belongs to her, that item will be set aside until its ownership can be clarified later, Early said.

Hynie, who wore a wedding band to Friday's hearing, says she and Brown were married, which is disputed by Brown's attorneys. The judge offered to hear arguments on that issue Friday, but Hynie's attorney said he would present that case another day.

The singer's six adult children were in court in an attempt to remove three trustees who are handling the late singer's estate. They claim the estate has been mismanaged. Although their relationship has been strained in recent weeks, the children and Hynie are united in a separate action asking for a special administrator to be appointed to oversee the trust.

Hynie hugged Brown's oldest daughter, Venisha Brown, after court was adjourned.

Attorneys for the trustees said they plan a countersuit. An attorney handling Brown's will, Strom Thurmond Jr., asked the Aiken County judge for a restraining order and injunction against the children, saying they have interfered with the administration of the estate.

"From the moment they tried to act as personal representatives, we have been met with contempt," Thurmond said.

Louis Levenson, an attorney for Brown's children, claimed trustees allowed taxes to go unpaid and a judgment over a land sale to go unanswered.

Hynie's attorney also claimed bills were unpaid and electricity was cut off while the representatives were in charge of Brown's estate.

"We think we need a special administrator," said Hynie's attorney Robert Rosen. "There is so much at stake in this case."

The judge said he would decide next week on the children's request either to remove the trustees or appoint a special administrator for the estate. He also ordered that no personal items be sold from Brown's home to pay off bills.

The singer's embalmed body remains at an undisclosed location in the same sealed, gold casket seen at his funeral awaiting a decision on where to bury it, officials at the funeral home that handled Brown's funeral confirmed Friday.

The judge told the children, Hynie and the trustees to not discuss burial plans with the media and to try to resolve that issue among themselves.

"Jadakiss," the rapper who wrote controversial lyrics about U.S. President George W. Bush and the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on New York, has been indicted on gun and drug charges. Under the name of Jason Phillips, Jadakiss entered a not guilty plea yesterday to charges of possessing a loaded handgun and marijuana in White Plains, N.Y.

He was arrested Oct. 7 with three other men in his native Yonkers, N.Y. Police said they stopped the car he was in after smelling marijuana and then found the gun.

The rapper's lawyer, Clement Patti, said, "I have yet to see or hear of any evidence connecting my client to possessing this weapon." He said Jadakiss was in the back seat and did not know there was a gun in the front console.

If convicted on the gun charge in Westchester County Court, the maximum sentence Jadakiss would face is 16 months to seven years in prison. The law was toughened in November to provide a minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years.

Two of the other arrested men face similar charges. No indictment of the fourth was announced.

P. Diddy, Puffy, Puff Daddy, Mr. Combs Denied

Diddy was left red-faced after being turned away from an exclusive Golden Globe Awards after-party.

The rap mogul, real name Sean Combs was reportedly fuming after turning up to the bash hosted by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) at Los Angeles' Sunset Tower hotel on Monday (1-15-07) and being told his name was not on the list.

A witness told the New York Post that Diddy became "verbally abusive and started yelling at security", who then called hotel owner Jeff Klein who "kindly asked Diddy to leave".

The furious rapper shouted, "What are you going to do... call the police?" Klein replied, "Yes!", and then Diddy screamed, "Just try it... I'll spend the rest of my life hunting you down!"

Diddy left shortly after the altercation, and he has allegedly now been banned from Sunset Tower.

However, Diddy's representative insists it was all just a misunderstanding, saying: "Sean never said those things. He respects people's wishes and left and went to Prince's party instead."

Diddy reportedly soured his name with CAA after he flew into a rage at an assistant to CAA co-chief Bryan Lourd, who was hosting an Oscar party and hadn't invited him.

A CAA representative has denied the star has been blacklisted. The rep said: "There is no ban on Diddy officially or unofficially. He just wasn't invited."

Former "King of Pop" Michael Jackson has settled a dispute with a Los Angeles pharmacy who claimed he owed 100,000 dollars in unpaid bills, a spokesman for the star said in a statement.

Mickey Fine Pharmacy had filed a lawsuit in Santa Monica Superior Court, alleging breach of oral contract, saying Jackson had failed to pay for prescription drugs supplied to him since December 2005.

However a spokesman for Jackson said in a statement the bill had now been paid. "The issue has been amicably resolved," the statement said. "Mikey Fine Pharmacy has been paid."

The statement said the dispute was related to a separate legal action Jackson is waging against his former accountants.

In court documents filed last month Jackson alleged the company of Bernstein, Fox, Whitman, Goldman and Sloan, had mismanaged his financial affairs.

Jackson is struggling to rebuild his career since his acquittal on child molestation charges last year, and all hopes of a come back are pretty much over.

A New Year and a new start for this celebrity couple, Marilyn Manson and Dita Von Teese have gone their separate ways.

After just over a year of marriage, Dita has filed for divorce from Marilyn, according to court documents obtained by People Magazine.

In her papers, which were filed on 29th December 2006, Dita cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

The couple's date of separation is listed as the 24th December 2006.

According to the papers, Dita is not making any claims for spousal support.

This coupling had all the ingredients of a happy marriage, they'd known each other for more than five minutes.

Hip-hop musician and actor Busta Rhymes has been arrested on misdemeanor assault charges after allegedly attacking a former employee during an argument over "payroll issues," police said.

Accompanied by his lawyer, the 34-year-old Brooklyn native, born Trevor Smith, walked into a lower Manhattan precinct on Wednesday night where he was arrested.

Police said the rapper is accused of kicking and punching the former employee during an argument outside Rhymes' Manhattan office the day after Christmas.

Following the alleged attack, police said the man, who has not been named, reported the incident and sought medical treatment for swelling and bruising to his face.

The rapper will be arraigned Thursday.

This is not the first incident of violence surrounding Rhymes, whose hits include "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See," "Dangerous" and "Touch It." He has also appeared in films, including 2000's "Shaft" and "Finding Forrester."

In February, a bodyguard for the rap star was shot dead during a music video shoot. Israel Ramirez, 30, was shot once in the chest.

And in August, Rhymes was arrested and charged with kicking a 19-year-old man in the head.

The star has entered drug rehab twice. The National Enquirer recently published photographs purporting to show drug gear in her squalid bathroom.

The auction house owner, expects to raise millions of dollars. Houston will keep any money left over when the storage bill is paid.

Her publicist claims that it will be good riddance to bad rubbish, saying the auction consists of "old equipment from past tours that she doesn't need any more".

Former Beatles Stalker Murdered In California

A San Francisco woman who once broke into former Beatles guitarist George Harrison's Hawaii home has been found dead in California, the victim of a murder-suicide, police said on Sunday.

Cristin Keleher, 34, made headlines in December 1999 by entering Harrison's Maui estate and then cooking herself a frozen pizza and helping herself to a root beer. After she did her laundry and called her mother, she was found by the security staff and charged with burglary.

She had apparently been stalking Harrison for months.

On December 19 of this year police in Truckee near California's popular Lake Tahoe found her body and that of a 48-year-old man in a SUV vehicle, both with gunshot wounds to their heads, according to a coroner's report.

From the investigation it appears that she was shot first and then he shot himself, so it is a murder-suicide, police said.

The 25-year-old who has been seen partying since filing for divorce from Kevin Federline has shocked fans on website www.worldofbritney.com so much they have decided to shut it down.

Ruben Gray, who founded the website, revealed: "Britney is losing her identity and credibility. Britney is done. For me at least.

James Brown the "Godfather of Soul" Dead at 73

James Brown, the "Godfather of Soul" whose singing style and bold rhythms brought funk into the mainstream and influenced a new generation of black music, has died at age 73.

Brown died on Christmas morning, local time, at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta after being admitted on Saturday for severe pneumonia, his manager, Frank Copsidas, said.

The singer had been in good health but went to a dentist late last week who recommended he immediately see a doctor. The decision was then taken to cancel two shows, Mr Copsidas said.

"But he was all geared up to get back to work and play New Year's Eve in (New York's) Times Square," he said of the singer who styled himself "the hardest working man in show business". "He's been doing his best shows in the last 30 years."

One of America's great showmen and band leaders, Brown created a revolutionary sound that mixed funky rhythms and staccato horns behind his own often explosive vocals.

Hip hop and rap artists revered him and extensively used his beats as the backdrop to their own music.

"He's the godfather of hip hop and rap, the father of funk and he passed on the title of 'Godson of Soul' to (singer) Usher at the Grammys of two years ago," Mr Copsidas said, adding Brown would likely be buried in Augusta, Georgia.

Brown emerged from a boyhood of extreme poverty and petty crime in Augusta to become one of the biggest record-sellers in rhythm and blues and later achieved crossover success.

He began his music career in jail as a juvenile offender and went back behind bars in 1988 for drug, weapons and vehicular charges after a high-speed car chase through Georgia and South Carolina which ended with police shooting out the tires of his truck. He left prison in 1991.

In January 2004, Brown was arrested on a domestic violence charge after his 33-year-old wife, Tomi Rea Brown, called police to report that Brown pushed her onto the ground during an argument. She suffered scratches and bruises on her arm and hip. Brown ended up pleading no contest and paid $1,087 as punishment.

Brown had more than 119 charting singles and recorded over 50 albums, was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and received a Grammys lifetime achievement award in 1992.

Big hits included "Please, Please, Please," "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," "I Got You (I Feel Good)" "Get Up (I feel like being a Sex Machine)" and "It's a Man's World."

Brown, also known as "Mr. Dynamite," would dance himself into a controlled frenzy as part of his stage show and typically changed suits a dozen times.

Every record he made during 1960-77 reached the top 100.

His 1985 monster hit "Living in America," featured in the movie "Rocky IV," brought him a new generation of fans and his first Grammy.

Yoko Ono Blackmailed By Drivers Extortion Attempt

For 10 years, he was Yoko Ono's trusted chauffeur, a former Turkish military man working for the widow of an assassinated rock star for the past 10 years has snapped.

His life seemed to consist of taking care of a stable of cars, including Ono's Bentley, occasionally collecting tickets for minor traffic infractions, like driving without a seat belt.

Then, the police said, last Friday, the anniversary of John Lennon's death, he apparently snapped, turning on Yoko his boss.

In a conversation with Ono at her apartment, the chauffeur, Koral Karsan, threatened to release private information about Ono and her family unless she paid him $2 million, according to prosecutors. Four days later, on Tuesday, Karsan visited Ono's lawyer, Jonas Herbsman, in his Manhattan office, where he threatened to kill Ono, her son, Sean Lennon, and himself.

At Karsan's arraignment Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court, a prosecutor said Karsan boasted that he had people "on standby" ready to kill Ono and that he was planning to move to Turkey and peddle a book about her private life over the Internet if she did not yield to his demand for $2 million.

The prosecutor, Maureen O'Connor, read in court a passage of the letter she said Karsan had used to try to blackmail Ono.

"I will not only write about these recordings, but will distribute them to European broadcasting stations," O'Connor quoted from the letter. "Be advised I am moving back to Turkey permanently and will publish my book in Turkey and will distribute the prints throughout the Internet from Iran where I have already secured e-commerce capability."

As Karsan, who is charged with attempted grand larceny through extortion, was being arrested Wednesday, he blurted out to reporters that Ono had sexually harassed him.

His lawyer, Patrick K. Brosnahan Jr., hinted that Karsan, who is 50 and lives with his wife and 26-year-old son, was concerned that he was close to retirement age and needed to be compensated with some kind of severance package. Prosecutors said Ono paid him a salary of $150,000 to $200,000 as her driver.

Karsan gave Ono a letter saying that he "was looking for her to compensate him for his years of service and that he worked hard and his life was nearly ruined by the hard work he put in on this job."

"He felt that she owed him," the letter said. And if Ono "did not take care of him," he would expose her most private life. Among the salacious details he claimed to have were recordings of Ono's political views and a photograph of her in her pajamas.

Karsan also claimed that he had been poisoning Ono, the official said, although the police did not find any evidence that that was true.

A neighbor in Amityville, Deborah Waring was reported as saying, Karsan made small talk with neighbors and gave them Christmas chocolates every year.

Waring said she once helped him push Ono's Bentley out of his snowy driveway.

Investigators said Karsan claimed he had rigged a car to record Ono's conversations, including her views on matters of government, but the police examined his cars and found no evidence of recording devices.

Karsan, thin and tall, at 6-foot-1, wearing a long black woolen overcoat, his white hair swept back, said nothing and no plea was entered during his arraignment Thursday. Judge Tanya Kennedy ordered him jailed until he could post bail of $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond and provide assurance that the money did not come from illegal activity.

Kennedy also issued orders of protection against Karsan for Ono and her lawyer.

It was a cold night Friday in Central Park at Strawberry Fields, but the annual tribute to John Lennon went on as fans gather to pay tribute to the musical genius.

Crowds gather every year on December 8 to remember the ex-Beatle who was killed 26 years ago. Lennon would have turned 67 next year.

“John Lennon still lives on in our hearts,” said one vigil attendee. “His vision of peace and justice still continues to this day.”

“The vibe is all love and happiness; the whole world should live like these guys are living here today,” added another Lennon fan at the memorial.

Lennon was gunned down in 1980 outside the home his shared with Yoko Ono in the Dakota Apartments on Central Park West. Mark David Chapman is serving a life sentence for the murder.

Britney Spears Harpoons Federline With Divorce Papers

Pop princess Britney Spears has filed for divorce from her second husband former backup dancer Kevin Federline.

The 24 year old singer has been married to dancer Federline, 28 for just two years and one month.

She has lodged a petition with the Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to a court spokeswoman.

The date of separation was listed as Monday November 6. Spears requested that her earnings and accumulations from after the date of separation, miscellaneous jewelry and personal effects and other undisclosed assets to be declared separate property.

The couple have two children: one-year-old Sean Preston and eight-week-old Jayden James. Britney is reportedly applying for full custody of both children.

Spears did agree in the filing to let Federline have visitation rights.

She is said to have hired celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has acted for Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey and Kiefer Sutherland.

Britney's first marriage to childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander in 2004 was annulled just hours after the wedding in Las Vegas. Spears married Federline after a six-month courtship in 2004.

The pop star has sold more than 60 million albums since she shot to fame dressed as a schoolgirl in 1999.

Federline previously had a relationship with actress Shar Jackson. The union produced two children, one of whom was born two months before he married Spears. Federline recently released a rap album, "Playing With Fire."

The 35-year-old hip hop superstar arrived with his lawyer at the Orange County jail in Santa Ana, near Los Angeles, where he was booked under his real name - Calvin Broadus.

An arrest warrant was issued for Snoop last week, after the incident at Orange County John Wayne Airport on September 27.

The Grammy-nominated entertainer was trying to catch a flight with two bodyguards when airport security spotted a long metal object in his laptop computer case.

The officers then discovered a 20-inch collapsible baton inside, prosecutors said.

Snoop said the baton was a prop for a video he was to make and was unaware it was illegal to take it on a plane.

You know, most entertainers supply their own props when making movies and music videos, and the producers then intern supply the drugs and alcohol.

The late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain has swept past Elvis Presley to top the rich list for dead celebrities.

Cobain, the grunge rock icon who killed himself aged 27, earned $50 million from beyond the grave over the past year, US business website Forbes.com said.

Despite having died 12 years ago, the Seattle star's hugely influential records continue to sell.

His place at the top is mainly due to Cobain's widow Courtney Love selling a 25 per cent stake in his song catalogue last year.

During the last years of his life, Cobain battled drug addiction and the media pressures surrounding him and his wife Courtney Love. On April 8, 1994, Cobain's body was found in his home. His death was officially ruled a suicide by self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, the unusual circumstances of his death fueled much analysis and debate.

Elvis has held the number one spot for the past four years but between 2005-2006 he made only $42 million.

Charles Schulz, creator of the Peanuts cartoon strip, is third followed by former Beatle John Lennon, new entry Albert Einstein and artist Andy Warhol.

Lawyers for Paul McCartney said Wednesday that he will "vigorously" defend himself against allegations that he physically abused his estranged wife, Heather Mills McCartney.

Britain's "Daily Mail" newspaper reported details of an alleged court document filed by Mills McCartney containing accounts of mistreatment and drug use during the couple's four-year marriage.

The newspaper acquired the document, which alleges that McCartney once attacked his wife with a broken wine glass, stabbing her in the arm and causing profuse bleeding. It also claims that he used illegal drugs and drank to excess.

The newspaper reported that the 13-page submission also alleged that McCartney had pushed his estranged wife into a bathtub while she was pregnant with their child.

It said the document, said to be filed by Mills McCartney in response to the former Beatle's divorce petition, lodged in July, also claimed McCartney had later objected to his partner breast-feeding their daughter.

The newspaper quoted the alleged court papers as saying McCartney had told his wife "they are my breasts."

It reported that the document alleged McCartney had grabbed his wife's neck and started choking her during a trip to the U.S. in 2003 and on an earlier occasion pushed her over a coffee table.

Mills McCartney is reported to claim in the legal papers that in late 2005 her husband forced her to cancel surgery for two months, as it interfered with their holiday plans.

The 64-year-old rocker and 38-year-old anti-land mine campaigner announced their separation in May and have begun divorce proceedings in an increasingly acrimonious split. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

New York CBGB final concert played out Sunday night featuring Patti Smith Television's Richard Lloyd and Red Hot Chili Pepper's bassist Flea.

After a 33-years in downtown New York hailed by many as the birthplace of punk. The club will close Oct. 31. CBGB's closure has prompted endless protests, tributes and vigils for more than a year, a cycle which ended when CBGB's owner, Hilly Kristal, gave up his legal fight to stay.

A homeless advocacy group that owns the property, the Bowery Residents Committee, is not renewing CBGB's lease, which expired in August 2005.

CBGB, opened in December 1973 and over the years helped spawn the careers of such acts as the Ramones, Blondie, the Talking Heads and Television. Though the club's glory days are long gone, it has remained a symbolic fixture on the Manhattan music scene.

Blondie singer Deborah Harry performed at CBGB on Saturday, part of a weeklong send-off for the club.

Kristal plans to move the club to Las Vegas, and its store, CBGB Fashions, will move on Nov. 1 to a nearby location at Broadway and Bond Street.

George Michael Arrested Possessing Cannabis

George Michael was arrested on Sunday for possessing cannabis after being found slumped at the wheel of his car for the second time this year.

The singer was rushed to hospital after officers found him unconscious in his Mercedes at a busy junction near his North London home just after 3.20am sunday morning.

They also discovered a small amount of cannabis in his possession.

Police were called to the scene after receiving reports that his car was blocking the street.

The 43-year-old star was later taken into custody at Colindale police station in west London, and booked under his real name Georgios Kyriakos Panayiotou.

As well as being cautioned for possessing cannabis, Michael was arrested under the suspicion of being unfit to drive and released on police bail sunday afternoon.

It is the third time this year the star has been involved in a motoring incident, which many believe is linked to his frequent use of cannabis.

The former Wham frontman was cautioned in February for possession of the class C drug after being found asleep at the wheel of his parked Mercedes near Hyde Park.

The millionaire was arrested for suspicion of being unfit to drive and was held by police over night, although he was never charged.

In April, Michael again faced police questioning after he allegedly smashed into three parked cars in his new 60,000 Range Rover.

Michael, who has just started a sell-out world tour - his first for 15 years - has never made a secret of his fondness for cannabis.

The singer, who has a long-term partner, Kenny Goss, hit the headlines in July after being caught having sex with a stranger on Hampstead Heath.

Michael, in a interview said he felt no shame about his sexual encounters with strangers in public places, an activity known as cruising.

Produced by 19-year-old Troy "DJ Webstar" Ryan and written by his friend, 16-year-old Bianca "Young B" Dupree, the song "Chicken Noodle Soup" seeped into New York's teen scene around Easter.

Tyler's Hepatitis C Battle

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has revealed he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C three years ago. The 58-year-old said at one point he underwent chemotherapy that "about killed me".

In an interview, Tyler said he remained "pretty quiet about this" after being diagnosed with the disease about three years ago when Aerosmith were on a break from touring and recording.

He said after 11 months of treatment the disease was now "non-existent in my bloodstream".

Hepatitis C can lead to chronic liver infection and cirrhosis. About 1 to 5 per cent of people with the disease eventually dies from long-term infection.

Aerosmith have been among rock music's most prolific bands since first breaking big in the 1970s with hit singles such as Sweet Emotion and Walk this Way which was also an international hit in 1986 when remade with rappers Run-D.M.C. on their album Raising Hell and won both groups a Soul Train Music Award for Best Rap - Single in 1987.

All though they suffered a lull in the 1980s, but rebounded with 1987 album Permanent Vacation, which included the single Dude (Looks Like a Lady).

Tyler is the father of Hollywood actress Liv Tyler.

Authorities in the U.S. state of Louisiana have issued misdemeanor citations to country singer Willie Nelson and four others for drug possession. Officials say they found 680 grams of marijuana and about 85 grams of narcotic mushrooms on Nelson's tour bus during a commercial vehicle inspection Monday. Louisiana state police said in a statement that police searched the bus after detecting a strong odor of marijuana from the vehicle during the inspection. Police say Nelson and the four others on the bus were given the citations and released. The 73-year-old Nelson, whose hit songs include "On the Road Again," has been a vocal advocate for legalizing marijuana. Up In Smoke.
